PC Instructions
- Download and install SSH/SFTP Secure Shell.
- Configure your connection to the UNC server by following these instructions.
- You will now see two window panels. On the left, you will see an explorer window that you can use to navigate your local computer. On the right, you will see an explorer window that shows ou the files on the remote Web server.
- In the right-hand pane, double click on the folder (also known as a directory) called "public_html." This is where you will upload your files. The homepage of your Web site will be called "index.html"
- To upload files, simply drag them from the left pane (your local computer) to their appropriate location in the right pane (the remote Web server).
- To delete files on the server, select the file you want to delete and press the red "X" icon at the top o the remote pane.
- To rename files on the server, click on them and wait for the curser to change to a type prompt. Type the new name and click off the file.
- To add a sub-folder to "public_html" (which is always a good idea for clean organization) click on the "New Folder" icon at the top of the remote pane.

Any files you upload will be available via any Web browser by going to http://www.unc.edu/~[onyen] (where [onyen] is your Onyen])
Mac Instructions
- Download and install Fetch.

- To delete files on the server, select the file you want to delete in Fetch and press the red "delete" icon in the upper right corner of the Fetch window.
